Information We Collect
- Account ID, email address, password hash, account creation date, password reset status, and login-security information.
- Learning data such as lesson completions, game activity, challenge results, speed, accuracy, points, achievements, rankings, and progress history.
- Support messages submitted through contact or feedback forms.
- Visitor analytics such as pages visited, device/browser type, approximate location, traffic source, and visit timing when analytics is enabled.
Resume Builder Data
In the current Resume Builder version, the personal details, employment history, education, skills, and uploaded photo entered into the builder are processed in the user’s browser. A saved draft is stored in that browser using local storage and is not sent to the TypeWithFun server. Clearing browser storage or using another browser or device may remove or hide the saved draft.
Application Writer Data
The Application Writer processes names, recipient details, dates, reasons, positions, amounts and other information entered by the user in the browser. Generated letters and drafts saved through the Application Writer are stored in that browser using local storage in this version and are not sent to the TypeWithFun server. Clearing browser storage, using private browsing, or moving to another browser or device may remove or hide those drafts. Users should avoid entering unnecessary sensitive information and should download or keep copies of important applications.
The Application Writer does not verify whether entered information is correct or whether a generated letter follows the mandatory format of the receiving organization. The review confirmation is processed in the browser and is not an official or professional approval.
Document Studio Data
Text typed or edited in Document Studio and browser-saved drafts are stored in the user’s browser by default. TypeWithFun does not make these documents public. The Direct Document Reader processes selectable PDF, DOCX and TXT content in the user’s browser. Compatibility OCR is processed on the user’s device through the browser OCR library and its language resources. Before these tools start, TypeWithFun may verify the account and human-verification token and may record the number of pages requested for security, rate limiting and service analytics. These local tools are currently free and do not deduct page credits. The uploaded image remains in the browser for Compatibility OCR and is not sent to Google.
When a user selects Fast Cloud OCR, the selected photo or rendered scanned-PDF page is transmitted securely through the TypeWithFun server to Google Cloud Vision for text recognition. Voice-note and AI microphone transcription may be sent to the separately configured speech-recognition provider. TypeWithFun processes these files in memory and does not create a permanent copy of the uploaded image or recording. Recognized text is returned to the browser. Usage records such as the account ID, month, Fast Cloud OCR free pages used, number of pages requested, and security events are stored to operate the allowance, prevent abuse, apply safety limits and manage the service.
Users should avoid uploading material they do not have permission to process. Recognition results may contain errors or fail to preserve the original structure. Users must review names, numbers, dates, amounts, addresses, punctuation, tables, confidential details, spacing, formatting and alignment before downloading, using or sharing a generated document. The download confirmation is processed in the browser and is not a professional accuracy review or certification by TypeWithFun.
Community Blog and Moderation Data
Approved community blog titles, summaries, article text, chosen author display names, publication dates, and reaction counts are public. Pending and rejected submissions are visible only to their author and logged-in administrators. The account ID used to control editing is stored on the server and is shown to administrators for moderation but not to ordinary public readers.
TypeWithFun stores submission status, administrator feedback, approval or rejection dates, moderation history, content reports, report reasons, and any blog-publishing suspension needed to operate the review and safety process. Anonymous reports may use a one-way technical identifier to reduce repeated abuse without displaying the visitor’s IP address in the moderation dashboard.
Passwords
Passwords are hashed before storage. TypeWithFun does not store plain-text passwords.
How Information Is Used
- To create and protect accounts.
- To save progress, achievements, rankings, and history.
- To operate lessons, games, daily challenges, articles, and live features.
- To review community submissions, investigate reports, enforce guidelines, and respond to copyright or safety concerns.
- To create and preview resumes and application-letter drafts locally in the user’s browser.
- To respond to support requests, prevent abuse, and improve the website.
Email Verification and Document Processing Security
To activate Fast Cloud OCR, TypeWithFun records whether an account email address has been verified, when a verification message was sent, and when verification was completed. Verification links use short-lived random tokens stored in hashed form. We may use Cloudflare Turnstile during registration, Direct Document Reader submission, Compatibility OCR submission and Fast Cloud OCR submission. The browser sends a Turnstile response token to the TypeWithFun server, and the server sends that token, the request IP address and related validation information to Cloudflare to determine whether the interaction appears human.
To protect the website from bots, fraud and unsafe files, TypeWithFun may record document-processing security events including account ID, date and time, IP address, browser user-agent, event type, rate-limit information, file-validation results, page count and administrator suspension or restoration actions. These records are visible only to authorized administrators and are retained as reasonably necessary to investigate abuse, protect accounts and control operating costs. They are not used to publish the user’s documents or extracted text.
Payments
Document Studio payments are currently disabled. Historical Paddle transaction, credit and fulfilment records, if any, may be retained when needed for accounting, support, dispute handling, security or legal compliance. TypeWithFun does not store complete payment-card details.
Sharing and Advertising
TypeWithFun does not sell personal information. Hosting, analytics, email, advertising, consent-management, payment, fraud-prevention, and technical service providers may process limited information only as needed to operate, protect, measure, and support the service.
Cookies, Analytics and Consent
Essential browser storage may be used for login sessions, security, language choices, drafts, progress, and saved privacy preferences. Optional analytics and advertising technologies are not loaded through the central website configuration until the visitor accepts optional cookies. A visitor may reject optional cookies or reopen Cookie Settings from the website footer. The website’s basic privacy-choice banner is not a substitute for any certified consent-management platform required by an advertising provider for particular countries or regions.
Advertising Providers
If advertising is enabled, Google and other approved third-party advertising vendors may use cookies, device information, IP-derived location, browser information, page context, and prior visits to serve, measure, limit, or personalize advertising where legally permitted and where the visitor has provided any required consent. Google advertising cookies may be used to serve ads based on a visitor’s previous visits to this or other websites. Visitors can manage personalized advertising through Google Ads Settings and may also use applicable industry opt-out tools.
Advertising is restricted to selected public, content-rich pages. TypeWithFun does not intentionally place advertising on account, login, registration, password-reset, administrator, private moderation, payment, checkout, document-upload, OCR-processing, resume-editing, application-editing, confirmation, or download screens. Game-play pages are excluded by default to reduce distraction and accidental interaction.
Children and Family Use
Some typing activities may appeal to children, families, and schools. TypeWithFun does not knowingly use the central monetization system to display ads on pages specifically identified as child-focused. Parents, guardians, and schools should supervise children’s use and review the privacy practices of any external service before enabling optional cookies.
Affiliate Links and Sponsorships
Some public articles may later include clearly identified affiliate links or sponsored placements. TypeWithFun may receive a commission or other benefit when a visitor uses an eligible link, at no additional cost to the visitor. Affiliate and sponsored content will be disclosed near the relevant content. Editorial recommendations must not be purchased or changed solely because compensation is available.
Donations and Support
Visitors may optionally support TypeWithFun through a third-party donation or payment provider. The provider processes the payment under its own privacy policy. TypeWithFun may receive the supporter name, email address, amount, message, transaction reference, and status when supplied by the provider, but does not store full payment-card details.
Security And Requests
Server-side sessions, password hashing, login lockouts, and restricted data files are used to protect accounts. Users may contact support for account access, correction, or deletion requests, subject to legal and security retention requirements.
